THE chief executive of the Limpopo Tourism and Parks Board, Edgar Mushwana, says time is running out for those interested in viewing the eclipse on December 4 this year, but that accommodation is still available. The total eclipse of the sun will best be seen between Beit Bridge and the Mozambique border in the area north of the Soutpansberg, Thohoyandou and Shingwedzi Camp in the Kruger National Park. "Despite the enormous demand which has resulted in almost all formal hotel and guest house accommodation in the eclipse line, as well as rest camps in the Kruger National Park being fully booked up, there is still informal and temporary accommodation available throughout the region." Mushwana says many owners of private homes and farms are making temporary accommodation available for the period.
