HOSPITALITY Technology International (HTI), the hospitality IT services company within the M-R Systems group, reports that its LodgeRes Central Reservation System (CRS) is now believed to be the most widely installed CRS solution in Africa.
That's according to the md of M-R Systems, James Montgomery, who said the latest installations at Abercrombie & Kent's (A&K) safari lodges in Kenya and Tanzania, took the number of LodgeRes sites in use outside of South Africa to more than 40.
Montgomery said that A&K recently conducted a worldwide evaluation of CRS solutions, but ultimately decided on LodgeRes.
"This is a marvelous endorsement for us as they (A&K) are not only one of the oldest tour operators in the world, but one of the most respected," he said.
The company is also looking at exporting IT-based hospitality solutions to other English speaking countries around the globe such as Australia, the UK, New Zealand and the US.
