Americans not keen to travel abroad

ONLINE travel news site, travelmole.com, reports that a massive 71% of Americans are not interested in travelling overseas according to a Travel Industry Association of America (TIA) survey. The organisation's latest war impact survey confirms that overseas destinations which are frequented by American tourists are likely to face a tough few months ahead. Most of the 1 200 Americans surveyed in late March cited the war and the weak economy as reasons for not wanting to travel abroad. It's unclear if the current stance may change now that the war appears to be over. However, the findings should be of concern to South Africa as America remains our third largest source market.
