ASATA is urging agents to complete their skills profile online. Jacqui McKnight, Asata Professional Programme manager, said the response had been good to registering on the Professional Programme system – 2 380 agents have registered online – but not enough have completed skills profiles in order to measure their professional development. Asata is trying to measure the overall skill level in the industry but it needs a sizeable number of agents to participate in order to get a clear picture of the industry’s proficiency. See what Jacqui has to say by clicking on the link: http://www.nowmediawebcasting.co.za/clients/Q&A/asata> Agents are also asked to support the Asata Professional Programme workshops, which take place in mid-November. This series will be examining the ‘hard sell of travel’ and will include profiling your customers and closing the deal. • Johannesburg - Conferencing on Katherine – Wednesday November 15 – three sessions - FNB Training Centre – Saturday November 18 – 09h30-12h30 • Pretoria – Holiday Inn Pretoria – Thursday November 16 – morning and afternoon session • Cape Town – MTN Science Centre – Tuesday November 21 – morning and afternoon session • East London – Hemmingways – Wednesday November 22 – afternoon session • Durban – Elangeni – Thursday November 23 – morning and afternoon session • Bloemfontein – Premier Protea Bloemfontein – Tuesday November 28 – morning session Lucy Siebert (lucys@nowmedia.co.za)
