Kwihala Camp in Ruaha National Park, Tanzania, has joined the Asilia Africa portfolio.
Kwihala is an intimate, six-tented camp set deep in the bush and close to the Mwagusi Sand River in a valley rich with game. The guest tents include en-suite bathrooms with flush toilet and have understated furnishings. Activities include day and night game drives and walking safaris.
Ruaha is Tanzania’s largest national park and is home to over 10% of the world's lion population, the world's third largest wild dog population and one of the few sustainable populations of cheetah left in East Africa. Leopard and hyena are also regular sightings, as well as some of the rarer antelope, including roan and sable.
“Kwihala holds true to Asilia's most important values: excellent guiding; exceptional game viewing; and leaving a light footprint on the environment, so is the perfect addition to the Asilia portfolio,” Asilia said in a statement.
