BA: restrictions on under 18's travelling alone

BRITISH Airways has advised that many countries are introducing restrictions on under 18's travelling on their own, who do not have written authority from either their parents or official bodies such as the police. In some areas this will also mean that British Airways will only be able to accept them for travel if they have been booked as an Unaccompanied Minor.

Currently there are two known countries which have restrictions on their citizens and who must be booked as an Unaccompanied Minor

Italian Citizens up to and including 13yrs
Romanian Nationals under 18yrs

Customers are still required to check their own visa requirements with the Embassy or Consulate of the countries they are visiting
