BA/Comair clarifies confusion

BA/COMAIR officially moved to zero percent commission on October 3. Following this move, the airline has decided to address some questions from consultants regarding cash payment and VAT. BA/Comair said the 1% distribution fee is paid to the travel agent through Travelbuy regardless the form of payment and is therefore also valid for cash payments. BA/Comair further said VAT will apply to all service fees collected on behalf of the agent in AK Gold for kulula.com or Travelbuy for BA. It is the agents’ responsibility to ensure that they take VAT and the 2,5% merchant fee into account when charging the passengers a service fee.
