BA’s Concorde hangs up its hat

BRITISH Airway’s Concorde celebrated its last day of service last Friday. Since joining the BA fleet in 1976, Concorde has flown monarchs, prime ministers, Hollywood stars, pop legends and elite business travellers. At least 100 VIPs joined Lord Marshall, chairman of British Airways, on Concorde’s final flight from New York to London Heathrow as part of the celebrations. BA will announce this week where its fleet of seven Concordes will be relocated after retirement. (Natalia Thomson)
