Big Five status for Aquila

AQUILA has relocated two bull elephants to offer visitors a Big Five safari experience close to Cape Town. At least R1m was invested in the one-hectare boma where the elephants will intially be closely monitored. “I’m proud to have finally created the closest authentic Big Five African safari within a day-trip range of Cape Town,” says owner, Searl Derman. Aquila is home to a variety of game species, including hippo, large herds of black wildebeest, zebra, springbok, ostriches and jackal, among others.
