THE next total eclipse will be best seen in Zimbabwe's Bulawayo region, according to Val Bell, director of the Bulawayo Publicity Association. The eclipse will occur on December 4, 2002 at about 10h15 and will best be seen in the area of Plumtree, Marula and Matopos. Tour operators are already quickly snapping up accommodation, so beds are limited. The Bulawayo tourist industry is preparing for an onslaught of local and overseas visitors and will organise tours, packages and entertainment. (Mark Gray)
