THE Botswana Department of Tourism has posted a warning saying that some companies and individuals offer travel services to members of the public pretending to be tourism enterprises. After the payment for a trip has been made, the company breaches the contract. The department advises everyone to make sure tourism enterprises are licensed before carrying out business transactions. Verifying licenses can be done by phoning one of the following numbers: Gaborone: 3953024 Maun: 6860492 Kasane: 6250357 Selebi Phikwe: 2611023 Francistown: 2418192 Tsabong: 6540833 Any illegal operators should be reported to the Department of Tourism.
