FOLLOWING yesterday’s reports that US-based Cendant Corporation is”near a deal” to purchase Galileo, the company is also in talks with Worldspan. No one know where these talks will lead to but this is the era of consolidation and, sooner rather than later, there will be mergers. Cendant owns the Avis and RCI brands.
