Civair plans to fly CT to London

CIVAIR has announced that it will start taking bookings for flights from Cape Town to London Stansted from the end of April. “We have received our final regulatory paperwork from the UK authorities and our funding structure and other operational matters have been bedded-down,” said Civair ceo Andy Cluver. The airline plans to operate three flights a week to London, leaving Cape Town on Friday, Sunday and Tuesday and arriving in Cape Town from London on Saturday, Monday and Thursday. “We expect the one-way price to be from R2 000 to R4 000, depending on when the ticket is booked. These prices do not include taxes and other charges which may apply,” said Cluver. The company is also looking at the possibility of two weekly services out of Durban to London Stansted. Bookings will only be able to be made on Civair’s website. (Lucy Siebert)
