In a survey of more than 200 respondents, female business travellers had their say about their experiences while travelling for work.
The Women in Business Report 2016 was commissioned by Maiden Voyage, a networking site for female business travellers.
Of the respondents, 77% said their company’s travel programme needed to take notice of their basic gender needs, while 75,3% believed their company should prioritise suppliers who paid attention to their travel requirements.
The report also noted that 64% of female business travellers said they would avoid certain destinations, including the Middle East and South America.
Almost a third of women surveyed said they had experienced sexual harassment while travelling.
The respondents were from a variety of industries, including healthcare, technology, retail, education and government.
