Cricket World Cup packages promoted

ACCORDING to a press release, Rennies Travel and BTI Connex are promoting a variety of Cricket World Cup travel packages, after having been appointed the official travel agents for South African spectators for the Cricket World Cup 2003 by the International Cricket Council. South African cricket fans will be able to purchase packages through these organisations for the opening match, semi-finals and finals. The packages will apparently include accommodation and air tickets, as well as actual cricket tickets. Customers wanting to view individual matches can take advantage of the ‘park and ride’ deals provided by Rennies and Connex. These specials will only be available to South African residents, with identification being required on purchase. In addition, payment has to be made within 72 hours. (Heather Ruddock)
