DELTA is expanding its network with the addition of flights from New York’s JFK International Airport to Mumbai, India and Accra, Ghana. Services to Mumbai will commence from November 1 and the route will be operated with the 268-seat Boeing B777-200ER. Delta will discontinue its one-stop service to India (Chennai and Mumbai) via Paris with the launch of the New York/Mumbai route, but will continue to serve Chennai through a codeshare agreement with Air France, pending approval. The Accra service will be launched on December 11 and operated with a 214-seat Boeing 767-300ER. Sue Lewitton (suel@nowmedia.co.za)
