AS of January 16, the dialing code for international calls out of South Africa will be ‘00’ instead of ‘09’ before the country code and number. Any calls made within South Africa need to include the area's dialing code followed by the number. For example, calls made to Johannesburg numbers need to begin with 011, even if dialing from within Johannesburg. Tessa Blane (tessab@nowmedia.co.za)
