DL ups LHR offering

Delta Air Lines will significantly grow its presence at London Heathrow when its partnership with Virgin Atlantic comes into force later this year. The two airlines expect to jointly offer 21 daily flights from Heathrow to the US by the end of the year.

From March 31 Delta will launch a third daily service between Heathrow and Atlanta, bringing to nine its daily non-stop flights to five US cities – New York-JFK, Atlanta, Detroit, Minneapolis-St Paul and Boston – and offering almost 30 000 seats a week between Heathrow and the United States this summer.

Delta has also been making significant investments in products and services for customers flying to the US from Heathrow, including fully flat-bed seats on all services and the introduction of Wi-Fi. The opening of Terminal 4 at New York-JFK in May will also improve the customer experience for JFK- Heathrow arrivals and departures.
