EBB implements Ebola screenings

Kazuri Medical, a company
specialising in Aviation and Corporate Health, has confirmed that it has
implemented Ebola screenings at Uganda’s Entebbe International Airport
following the recent outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The screenings have been put
in place for all passengers disembarking flights at EBB that originate in the
DRC, or Eastern Uganda.

The process involves passengers’
temperatures being taken with an infra-red thermometer, followed by a two-minute
physical examination. If a passenger is found to have a fever they will be
taken to one side for a further 10-minute examination to establish the cause.

The screenings have not yet
caused flight delays and would only significantly delay travel if a passenger was
found to be infected.
