Education facility opens at Spier’s cheetah centre

THE Cheetah Outreach Centre at Spier in the Western Cape has opened an education facility to increase global awareness of cheetahs, conduct environmental education programmes and to raise funds for the centre. The facility will include a classroom to host school groups and an adult learning information hub that will run videos and audio footage for all visitors to the centre. The facility will share resources, knowledge and skills with organisations including Cheetah Conservation Botswana; Cheetah Conservation Fund, Namibia; Marwell Trust, Zimbabwe and the National Cheetah Management Programme at De Wildt Wildlife and Breeding Centre.
