EMIRATES and Japan Airlines (JAL) are expanding their existing codeshare agreement to allow JAL to place its code on flights operated by Emirates between Dubai and Nagoya. The agreement will come into effect from June 1, the same day Emirates launches its four-times weekly service to Nagoya’s Chubu International Airport. The two airlines currently codeshare on Emirates’ service between Osaka’s Kansai International Airport and Dubai, as well as on JAL’s domestic flights operating between Osaka and Tokyo, Sapporo and Fukuoka. Frequent fliers on either airline can earn and redeem miles on either airline’s network. Sue Lewitton (suel@nowmedia.co.za)
