EU to follow liquids restrictions

THE EU is set to follow the US and UK’s lead and restrict the amount of liquids passengers may carry onboard flights departing the EU from November 1, reports the BBC. Passengers will only be able to carry 100ml of gels or liquids, which must be able to fit into a clear plastic bag. Previously, passengers departing the EU had no ban on how much liquid they carried. The European Commission is expected to approve the rules this week which should come into effect at the beginning of November. Drinks and liquids bought in duty-free will be allowed onboard.
