LCC, FlySafair, will start operations next week, November 13, between Cape Town and George, and will launch its second base at OR Tambo International Airport from December 3.
The CPT-George route will offer fares starting at R399 one way. This comes as an addition to existing operations between CPT and JNB from R499 one way, and CPT and Port Elizabeth from R399 one way.
From December 3, flights from JNB to George and Port Elizabeth will cost from R499 one way.
All fares exclude airport taxes. The airline offers a base fare that secures a seat and two carry-on items weighing no more than 7kg. Any additional checked-in luggage, along with the option to pre-select preferential seats or extra-space seats such as those in the front rows or at emergency exits as well as on-board catering are charged for accordingly.
"Our intention has always been to grow our schedule of operations and it makes most sense for us to open a second base and connect all of our current destinations, therefore offering flights from Johannesburg as well as from Cape Town. Further, we have had overwhelming feedback from our passengers to introduce these routes, we have listened to their suggestions and we have great pleasure in being able to now offer these routes," said Lorna Terblanche, vice president of passenger services at FlySafair.
