Forex dealer teams up with Netcare

SOUTH African forex dealer Master Currency has launched a new medical emergency product in conjunction with SA healthcare provider Netcare, offering tourists and travellers to southern Africa 24-hour medical assistance. The product, NetTravel911, can be purchased over the counter at Master Currency's branches at both Johannesburg and Cape Town International Airports. "Our research revealed that one in three foreign visitors to South Africa were interested in comprehensive short term emergency medical assistance. Many first time visitors to this country are very nervous about what might happen to them if they have an accident," says Ari Jacobson, managing director of Master Currency. The cover is valid for 30 days, but can be renewed should the visitor be planning to stay in the region for longer. The benefits include: emergency 911 medical advice and information by telephone, emergency medical response by road or air to the scene of a medical emergency, transfer by road or air to most appropriate medical facility transfer of life-saving blood or medication, emotional support and tele-counselling, care for stranded minors, legal assistance and advice to accident victims and a medexpert medical advice and nurse line (Adéle Mackenzie)
