THE Ministry of Tourism in Ghana has plans to promote the country as a destination for chocolate tourism. As part of the initiative, February 14 - which is globally recognised as Valentine's Day - will also be declared National Chocolate Day, celebrated under the theme "chocolate: a gift of love and health". On the day, the public is invited to the National Theatre where 75 trained chefs will exhibit several varieties of chocolate pastries. The event aims to encourage people to explore the different forms in which the cocoa bean can be enjoyed as well as to appreciate its health benefits.
