PORT Alfred's famous hospitality landmark, the Victoria Hotel, has been purchased by two doctors and converted into the newly-opened Port Alfred Health Hydro. The Eastern Cape property features a 35-room hotel and offers a wide variety of wellness progammes and therapies, packaged according to three themes: de-stress, de-tox and pampering. Facilities include a fully-equipped spa with hydro-bath, steam rooms, heated pool, vichy shower, jacuzzi, sauna and open flotation tank. (Adéle Mackenzie)
