Hot, dry holiday weather expected in SA

VISITORS and locals should prepare themselves for a hot, dry South African holiday season. This according to the country’s Weather Service, which confirms that recent poor rainfall patterns and above normal temperatures are here to stay for some time. Quoted on the government news site, BuaNews, Pretoria meteorologist, Lucky Ntsangwane, said there was a good chance that the poor rainfall and above normal temperatures would continue over the holiday period up to early in the new year. This, he said, was because of the weak El-Niño that has hit the country. “Holiday makers should be careful when outside or travelling as dehydration and sunburn may be prevalent from the above normal temperatures,” said Ntsangwane.
