Houston postpones Nairobi workshops

THE 'Spotlight on Southern Africa' workshop planned for February 5 and 6 by Houston Travel Marketing Services has been postponed until "sometime in May", according to managing director, Derek Houston.
Houston told Travel Now that a co-sponsorship deal with Kenya Airways still needed 'the i's dotted and the t's crossed' and that this had not been possible due to the run-up to the festive period.
"The airline is very, very keen and we've had a very good response to the workshops," he said, adding that Kenya Airways will actively promote the programme with its travel agents in East Africa, ensuring that an estimated 500 travel professionals attend, together with major corporates and the UN agencies in Nairobi.
The workshops, to promote southbound traffic ex Kenya and other East African countries, will be held at the Holiday Inn Nairobi.
