Hyatt plans to launch first branded hotel in Algeria

Hyatt Hotels plans to open a Hyatt Regency Hotel in Algeria’s Houari Boumediene Airport in Algiers in late 2018.

The 326-room hotel will be directly opposite the airport’s new terminal and will be the only terminal-linked hotel providing dedicated airline lounges, a Regency Club lounge, a rooftop swimming pool and restaurant.

The hotel will also offer a variety of lounge and seating areas where guests can work or relax, as well as meeting and event space.

“The region is home to some of the world’s fastest growing economies, with enticing prospects for both business and leisure travel,” said Peter Norman, senior vp, Acquisitions and Development – Europe, Africa and Middle East of Hyatt.
