IATA has announced that Nationwide showed one of the largest monthly increases in e-ticketing by individual airlines, with a growth of 20% between March and June this year. Global e-ticketing penetration reached 54% at the end of June, with 18 months remaining until the December 31, 2007 deadline for 100% e-ticketing. In March 2006, e-ticketing penetration was at 49% globally. Africa is now at 54% e-ticketing penetration, up from 46% in March 2006. Sue Lewitton (suel@nowmedia.co.za)
