Iberia posts results

IBERIA has released its results for 2005 showing nett earnings of R2,17bn, 98% more that the airline posted in 2004. This dramatic increase is due to the income Iberia generated from the sale of its stake in Amadeus and Savia (Amadeus distribution company in Spain and Portugal). The airline also reported that operating earnings were down 35,7% from 2004 at R856,38m due to the rise in fuel prices. (Sue Lewitton) suel@nowmedia.co.za
