THE Lanzerac Manor near Stellenbosch in the Western Cape has been selected for the second year running to host one of the world's leading senior executive seminars on sustainable development. As of February 1, 2004, southern African delegates involved in The Prince of Wales' Business & the Environment Programme, founded by Prince Charles and run by the University of Cambridge Programme for Industry, will take sole exclusivity of The Lanzerac Manor for the duration of their four day seminar. Intended for those capable of having an impact on long-term and wider strategic planning, the programme attracts business leaders from a range of sectors, including senior government and civil society leaders. Southern African seminar director, Peter Willis, emphasises the importance of choice of venue for such an important seminar programme. “We like to ensure that delegates are in a place of natural beauty that is uninterrupted by the comings and goings associated with most conference venues, so The Lanzerac is an extraordinary find for us.” (Miguel de Sousa)
