Le Quartier Français wins culinary award

LE Quartier Français was recently named one of the World’s 50 Best Restaurants in 2005 at an awards ceremony in London. Over 500 chefs, gourmands and restauranteurs worldwide voted in a survey conducted by Restaurant, a British industry magazine, which invited culinary experts from around the world to nominate their top five restaurants. In special awards, Le Quartier Français was also voted Best Restaurant in the Middle East and Africa. Susan Huxton, owner of Le Quartier Français, had this to say on the award: “We’re all so excited. To be judged by your peers as one of the world’s 50 best restaurants is a great achievement. The recognition is a rich reward for a team effort. Being chosen to represent South Africa as one of the world’s best restaurants make us feel very fulfilled.” (Natalia Thomson)
