SOFTBRANDS Hospitality, one of the largest global suppliers of multilingual software systems, will launch its new leisure software product, Rio Grand, at the Hostex 2003 Exhibition at the Sandton Convention Centre running between March 16-19. Rio Grand is already well established in the USA, Australia and Asia with well over 100 clients. It was launched in Europe at Hostec / Eurhotec Show in the UK in January. The Rio Grand product comprises a range of modules that can be installed independently or can provide a fully integrated solution. The modules include spa, retail, activities, golf, membership, food & beverage and fine dining. "Resorts, golf clubs, health centres and leisure / country clubs are all looking to maximise the guest experience and at the same time provide the opportunity for additional services and therefore revenue," commented John Smook, general manager of SoftBrands Hospitality (SA). "The statistics show significant growth in the leisure sector and the feedback we already have confirms that the timing of the Rio Grand launch is ideal." (Miguel de Sousa)
