Making her mark in travel

FOUR years ago she joined Now Media (publishers of TNN) as our most junior journalist. Now Natalia Thomson has been made a shareholder in the company, which was started in 1953. Divisional head of the travel publications division (which includes TNN), Natalia is also the editor of Travel News Weekly and Southern African Tourism Update. Thomson recently earned her masters degree in publishing from Aberdeen University with distinction. Her thesis was on online publishing in South Africa and this month her division launched a Mandarin language inbound tourism newsletter. Next month they will launch TravelHub, a ‘Travelinfo-type’ directory for the inbound trade. David Marsh
