THE Minister of Tourism for Mauritius, Nando Bodha, will be in South Africa in May to discuss a twinning initiative with SA Tourism, in which his country will be sold as an add-on destination to South Africa. In an exclusive interview with TNN in Port Louis on Tuesday, Bodha said that the idea was to offer tourists a wilderness/adventure experience in South Africa and then offer a beach experience in Mauritius. He also said that by the end of the this year, he hoped to increase the number of flights between SA and the island on Air Mauritius and SAA from 13 flights per week to 17 flights. (Miguel de Sousa)
