Montecasino market thrives

MONTECASINO has joined forces with Global Village and launched a weekend market in Fourways in the heart of Gauteng’s northwestern suburbs. This village-like market has more than 450 stalls and offers a diverse range of arts and crafts including a deli section of fresh and organic foods. One unusual feature of the market is an art colony which provides an opportunity for aspiring artists to display and sell their work. Most of the activity is undercover. Steve Howell, casino gm at Montecasino, says: “After Bruma Market World, this will be South Africa’s largest market differentiated by its upmarket art and craft offering.” More than 20 000 people attended the opening of the market which is open weekends and public holidays.
