COMAIR director Gidon Novick has confirmed to TNN that the airline has sold off R100m worth of shares to an unknown ‘major institution’. The sold shares belonged to chairman Dave Novick, md Piet van Hoven and Martin Moritz and they amount to 13,8% of the airline’s stock. Comair has been looking for a BEE partner for some time – the sale is being read by some as an empowerment deal. Kate Nathan (katen@nowmedia.co.za)
