GREATER Cape Town's Helderberg region opened an African styled cultural village and art gallery today. Situated just 30 minutes from Cape Town, next to the N2 between Somerset West and Sir Lowry's Pass, visitors will be able to discover a sense of the diverse African lifestyle, culture and creativity in the new Indibano African Village. In the Rattan Gallery within the village, over 1 000 polished stone sculptures imported from neighbouring states are on display, as is art from both established and aspiring young artists. The gallery offers competitive retail and wholesale prices and can arrange shipping and airfreighting throughout the world. The village is open from 09h00 to 17h00 from Monday to Friday, and from 10h00 to 17h00 on Saturdays and Sundays. (Miguel de Sousa)
