New direct booking concept launched

A CENTRAL reservations office has been set up in London to assist consumers reserve accommodation in Southern Africa. The African Booking Company, a division of Safariplans UK - who have over 27 years selling experience in the region - offers discounted accommodation direct to the public. The company says it aims to assist booking by offering discounted rates at a full range of accommodation from five star and guest houses to bed and breakfast establishments, adding that the free service to bookers will also be extended to on-line reservations within the next few months. African Booking notes that the travelling public had, until now, sourced their own accommodation requirements followed by international telephone or fax reservations - which in many instances had proved expensive and very frustrating, especially in high seasons when accommodation was at a premium.
