A NEW Cape Town-based inbound tour operator, African Zest Tours, has been launched. According to director James Vivier, the main markets on which the operator will concentrate are India, as well as the German market, the reason being African Zest has the crew contract for Lufthansa in Cape Town. Vivier said the operator is broad in terms of group size and budget, although it has been active in the more upmarket FIT grouping. As a launch special, a one-night culinary package has been put together. This includes one night's accommodation in Lambert's Bay, as well as meals in the original outdoor theme restaurants Muisbosskerm and Bosduifklip. Morning departures from Cape Town will see customers back in the city the following day at 18h00. The packages sell for R450 per person sharing, fully inclusive. (Johann Hattingh)
