Following Brexit, British Airways has clarified visa requirements with the British High
Commission for South African passengers transiting in the UK. Passengers with
Schengen Cat C visas cannot transit the UK without a UK transit visa. Passengers with
Schengen Cat D visas are able to transit the UK without applying for a separate UK visa.
It should also be noted that passengers cannot transit the UK to the Republic of Ireland
or anywhere within the Common Travel Area without a transit visa.
