Protea Hotel expands portfolio in Eastern Cape

ZUURBERG Mountain Inn, situated next to the Addo National Park in the Eastern Cape, recently joined the Protea Hotel Group. The hotel features five bedrooms in the Manor as well as 31 free-standing thatched cottages which are decorated in African style. Allan Duke, group marketing services director, said: “The 150-year old hotel is perfectly located one hour outside of Port Elizabeth and just 17km from the Addo National Park.” The property has conference facilities accommodating up to 60 people and also hosts wedding functions in the chapel on the property. With access to the 70 000 hectare Addo National Park, game activities are an integral part of the hotel’s attraction.
