RENNIES travel has announced its move into the adventure travel market according to product development manager, Patricia Houbert. According to her, Rennies noted an increase in the number of travel adventure bookings last year through its call centre, Rennies Travel Direct. "Leisure travellers are beginning to demand more than just sight-seeing from holidays. Most travellers have been exposed to the popular destinations such as London, Paris and Rome. They are now looking for something off the beaten track. We have remained at the forefront of change in the travel industry for the past 23 years, by responding to market trends and striving to meet clients' needs," said Houbert. She added that Rennies had received renewed interest in packages to the Victoria Falls as well as to other destinations such as Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania and Uganda. "Our move to adventure travel will not only enhance offerings to our existing client base, but also draw new clients," concluded Houbert. (Miguel de Sousa)
