Reserve bank says no to forwarding PTA payments

SOUTH African Airways says its has been inundated with enquires from travel agents who want to forward PTA payments for passengers who have already left South Africa, and once overseas, want to do side trips. This it says is in contravention of Reserve Bank regulations which considers these payments as being made off-shore. SAA says if passengers include the side trip into their original South African ticket as a re-routing, the Reserve Bank will then have no problem with the airline forwarding the required additional amount.
