Sheraton introduces self check-in kiosks

SHERATON Hotels & Resorts have announced plans to deploy self-service check-in kiosks in all its hotels, reports Travel News Weekly. According to executive vice president, Norman MacLeod, slow check-in has traditionally been a major guest concern and it is hoped the new kiosks will help alleviate the problem. Sheraton New York Hotel & Towers in Manhattan will be the first hotel to install the kiosks which will eventually be installed in all Sheraton properties in the US. The group said the ‘Speed Check’ kiosk enables guests to check-in or out in one minute. The kiosks can also be used to receive messages; programme additional room keys; change room type and view e-mail.
