Singita nurtures eye for beauty

THE HEALTH spa facility at Singita Boulders Lodge is attracting increasing interest and support from the international market, Singita sales and marketing manager, Lew Rood, has reported. He said guests to the lodge, and its sister establishment, Ebony Lodge, were enjoying the option of either using the spa directly or having therapists visit their suites for private beauty treatments on the pool deck. The spa offers facials, a range of beauty treatments and full body massages combining the ancient arts of Oriental acupressure, Ayurveda and traditional European massage. A steam room and gymnasium are also available. Rood said these services would be extended when a new spa was built later this year. "Plans are afoot to provide a new, improved and upgraded spa during the course of 2000 and so providing a service that reflects the quality that Singita stands for," he said. Other facilities include a "new concept in lodge gift and curio shops" in the newly constructed African Trading Store, which stocks original African artworks, unique designer clothing and exclusive jewellery.
