HOLIDAY Aviation has been appointed South African gsa for Ghana International Airlines (GIA), as the airline launches a new non-stop twice-weekly service between Accra and Johannesburg, starting on October 29. Bets Combrink, Holiday Aviation’s gm says: “The timing is perfect to assist passengers who are waitlisted on other airlines for flights to the UK via Accra during the peak holiday months of December and January. “ The service will be operated using a Boeing 757-200 with 16 business-class and 144 economy-class seats. Flights depart Accra at 22h00 on Wednesdays and Sundays, arriving in Johannesburg at 06h15 the following morning. Return flights leave Johannesburg at 17h30 on Mondays and Thursdays, arriving in Accra at 21h45 the same day. Special introductory fares from Johannesburg start at R3 390 to London and R4 990 to Accra, plus taxes of about R1 600. Introductory fares are limited and other taxes and restrictions may apply.
