Taylor takes the conference reins from Brebnor

RICK Taylor, ceo of the Cape Town Convention Bureau (CTCB) and Cape Metropolitan Tourism (CMT), was appointed as chairman of the South African Federation of Conference Cities (SAFCC). He takes over the reins from previous chairman, Keith Brebnor, and will serve a two-year term. Meanwhile, Taylor indicated that he - in his capacity as ceo of the CTCB - was working on 18 international bids from "all the four corners of the world". He says bids are being placed up to as far 2011. (Adéle Mackenzie)
