TIO introduces risk room accommodation

RISK room procurement has just become easier with the introduction of Tourvest Inbound Operation’s (TIO) Bed Zone. “We now manage a division dedicated to the provision of risk room accommodation, providing internal dynamic rates and in-house availability,” explains TIO coo, Martin Wiest. The Bed Zone is an accommodation consolidator of risk rooms designed around TIO’s critical mass on a reward for risk basis, whereby the TIO brands can offer accommodation at competitive prices with improved availability in popular tourism locations year-round, including high season. Wiest explains that although common internationally, the size of the independent destination management companies in South Africa means that risk room procurement has traditionally not been possible in Southern Africa. “Based on our comprehensive and cohesive supplier strategy, it ensures peace of mind and is a major advantage for our travel trade partners in international source markets,” says Wiest.
